Sorrento...again...

So again we went back to Sorrento, to our winter house, Teewah.
The weather was a bit shit but that doesn't matter, because we had heat floors! I love the kitchen, it has a huge island bench, a open layout dining room and sitting room. Thelounge room is located a few steps up and then the bedrooms are off from there. I always have a fab time, very relaxing, with good times always. We also went to the Sorrento Day Spa, which was fabulously relaxing, five pools of different from 37 Degrees up. Definatly worth another visit.
What I like most about these trips is that even though we don't really see the people too often, it's always comfortable.

Looks who's finished!

So after and epically long exam period I have finished finally!

I now have a list of things to complete, which I won't post on here becuase some of the things are a little bit embarassing. But a lot I have been putting off for half a year, like renewing my passport and so forth.

I'm really liking Sia's new album 'We Are Born, which is definatly more pop-y then her last.
Also my new but old TV show Hotel Babylon, it's fuinny becuase I know those things actually happen, and plus it's English. Who doesn't love a good british accent.

So off to cross somethings off my list, Clean my room is up there as well, wish me luck.

Relax take it easy...

So i've been on Uni holidays since the end of the June, hence all the blogging. My holidays have been very interesting, relaxing and fun.

So I have been on a quest to find a job, and no luck yet, but it's not for a lack for trying, people just don't want to hire me =(

No lose thought it has given me time to do other things like, get my hair cut. It's been awhile and I was out int he city with some of my mates when Steph asked Sam and I if we wanted to be 'hair models' at her mother's salon. So Sam and I took a trip to Brunswick and sat down to get our hair cut, by trainees, they weren't really trainees, they had been cutting for at lear 6-8 years, they were just learning new techniques, the girl that was cutting my hair was really nice, knew what she was doing and made my hair look great, layered all the way around, and short in the front, well short for me, it's about the same length as my face, it's what I call short. It's really good I'm wearing my hair down a whole lot more. Exciting!

I got my Uni results back, and guess what I passed everything, not well, but I passed, two B's, one C and one D. The D was for the subject i had most trouble with on the exam, truned out ok though! Need to not leave things to the last moment this semester!

I've also been driving alot with Dad, since Gary went back to Malaysia, he has been the only one to take me driving since mother gets a little to scared for me. It's been good he took me on a really long drive to Kinglake, where the devastating fires were in January. The roads were really narrow and windy, and the all i could see was black burnt tree it was very sad. I've also been generally driving around, leanring how to park it's been good, but dad gets annoyed and frustrated, but I don;t let is get to me, or else that would probally make it worse.

Sorrento

So two weeks ago I went back to Sorrento for a bit of a Holiday, relaxation after exams. I ahd an amazing time.
I was a bit apprehensive at first because half the people that were going I had never met before, but they turned out to be lovely!
First night we played the drinking game kings, which will always end badly.
The second day Millie, Sam and I went for a walk to Sorrento, and got caught in a torrential downpour, which soaked one side of our clothes. The third day Millie, Sam, Chris, Russell and I went to Rye to get souvlakis, which were fabulous and hit the spot. At night we drank way to much and definatly felt it in the morning. All in all a great time would definatly do it again.
The house was lovely, 4 rooms, 2 with ensuite, massive kitchen, nice loungeroom, and a deck.

Some pictures of our adventures.

My Holiday...

Well this has been a long time coming but I suppose it has to be done, because it will be lost in the crevasse that is my mind. So after a week of absolute chaos, of 13 girls sharing a three bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, of drunk girls, one night stands (not on my part), budgets, shopping, bitches and bosses, couches (where I slept), beaches, singstar, movies and friends. I thought it would be nice to come back to a quite house and relax. At the Beach in Rye.

And we are off!
Dad, Me, Brendan, Mum and Jane.

I was wrong, I come back home exhausted and have 24 hours to pack for a 6 weeks trip, there are people rushing trying to find things that are already packed, dad trying to organise better seats and just general un-calmness. So I have one night in my warm and cosy bed, before the next night we have to get on a plane which is delayed forty- five minutes, which wouldn’t be so bad except it was expected at 2:30am and it didn’t start boarding until about 3:30am, fun times, well it was Brendan and I built a awesome Lego building! Finally got on the plane only to discover that it feels like the seats are made of pure metal, imagine, old school bus seats, with seat belts, that is AirAsia seats. You have to pay for TV, pay for blankets and pillows, pay for all food and beverages. Hmm so it wasn’t a comfy ride neck hurt and was quite cramped but I got my sleep. Arrived in Malaysia in the discount arrival gate, dodgy! Got hit by the weather! Since it was Jane’s first time out of Australia it was fun to see her reaction to stuff, like toilets funny, she took a picture of nearly every toilet she went into, although I don’t think that is legal. Got picked up and was all dandy on the way home it was nice to get see some familiar sights, all the houses in KK and my family again. We were shown to our room, which is actually Gary’s, and Mum, Jane and I slept there, awesome room!

Ok so the next bit is going to be compressed because it gets a little boring.

So the next day, dad left of
Penang and Mum and Jane left for Thailand, and so for the next five days until they got back Brendan and I shopped. Anne took us, and then when Gary came he took us. Somewhere in the middle of this I got my VCE results which I was terribly not impressed with, but Gary took me shopping and things were all good. More shopping continued, eating at Yogitree, seeing Twilight, (which was an event all in it self, it’s pretty shocking(ly funny) on the first view, but what made it worse was that there has a single guy in his 40’s sitting next to Brendan totally ingrossed in the movie so much so he kept gasping and saying ‘Aih-oh’, and they cut out all the kissing scenes, all two of them but it defiantly missed something.), Mega Shopping malls, white belts, dresses and food, that is my favourite part, the eating in grungy little shops for really cheap Love it!! I really liked those days, it was the first quite time I had in awhile and it was nice just to sit alone at the house and read. Soon enough they were back with force, Adrian finally came as did Ah Fee Sok(sp?) and Anne Z, which brought the grand total of the house up to 15, wow it was schoolies again! Dad put on 12 kilos in 5 days! WOAH!

The wedding/anniversary dinner/celebration was on the 20th of December and we all dressed in our best (my new dress) and offered tea to Evelyn and Milos, then moved into the dining ha
ll and had a 12 course meal, there were speeches and slide shows and my dad infamous Yum Seng which brought the house down. It was an excellent night of celebration and fun.
Double Celebration.

The 21st there was more celebration with the winter solstice, and Indian food. Then we had 3 days to kill before went off to Blenhiem on the 25th, Christmas Day. More shopping ensued where I have to say for a none Christian country the decorations are way better and Christmas carols rang out of every speaker.
On the 24th we went to church with was fully packed so much so they set up tents and chairs to fit people with big projector screens, we sang our hearts out whether it be in English or Latin, for some strange reason we liked to sing no matter what. At the end of mass they gave out prizes... like Mobile phones, wow! We didn’t win :( We came home and opened pressies! Yay!

Christmas day we went to Blenhiem, although really nice, I wasn’t feeling the Christmas spirit. The house which was recently renovated slept 33 people, which again felt like schoolies, only with much older people. One of the requirements of going to Blenheim is playing Water Volley, there are only a few exceptions, but basically if you don’t play you won’t be invited back. It starts at about 4pm when it starts getting cooler and you play until it gets dark, there is basically one rule, you can’t smash, which was fine because I’m not tall enough too. It’s always great fun no matter if you win or lose. But for the rest of the day you can do whatever the hell you want, play basketball, sauna, pool, walks around the plantation, general lounging all acceptable. Although there were so many people, I hardly saw any of them, that’s how big the place was. There was so much food, either cooked by the cook, or brought, but if you are bored all you have to do it eat! We also play charades on one for the nights which is always a laugh and half.
Back to KK in the morning of the 28th and then off too Singapore by bus with my boys, dad, Adrian and Brendan, the same night, it was nice five hour bus ride, a million times better seating then AirAsia! We arrived at 4am and went straight to the hotel, where were slept for a few hours before heading out. We went to Raffles place where Adrian had a job meeting. Did a bit of shopping then went to my uncle’s house, where I met some of my cousins for the first time! It was excellent seeing Tracy again, wish we didn’t live in different countries! Had dinner which was the best-est chicken rice ever! Then after dinner we went walking down the famous Orchard Road, better Christmas decorations then Australia again, shame Australia. Lovely city at night, beautiful weather and awesome things to look at.
On the 30th we had a shopping day the stuff was nice but the due to the exchange rate everything was pretty much the same price. But they had a Sephora which made me so happy! Even though I didn’t buy anything I literally tried every product there, I smelt good AND I was glittery! More shopping then more food.
The 31st we went to Wet Wet Wild with Anne Z, awesome funny hilarious ride, where she screamed the whole bloody place down. Then went back to the hotel and got ready to celebrate the New Year,
Tracy came with us and we watched the fireworks from a bridge, perfect view. After the streets we so fully packed it wasn’t funny, but there were all so calm and collect and followed everyone, there was no pushing or shoving, it was SO weird. Then the next day it was off, to Macau!

Pretty Christmas Decorations!

A three to four hour flight on AirAsia to
Macau not so bad, just long haul not good. Arrived then had to wait for mum and Jane arrived, which was another few hours. The hotel was a bit grungy, our toilet didn’t work, and the carpet was dirty, but I could see China from my window. Macau in a nut shell:
- It’s a European town in regards to architecture, well at least the old part, only with asian faces.
- The floor are cobbled
- Quiet as at night
- They sold sweet meat on every corner
- People are a little bit scary (weird guy yelling at dad telling him how to order)
- The Casinos are ridiculously huge and grand, the Wynn, Grand Lisboa…
- Food not so great
- Gambled for the first time
- look at a million flashing lights
- Eat food out of a moving cooker, very funny for Jane!
- Road in a gondola in the Venetian hotel! Hot guy singing, sigh!
- Bought cheap underwear
- Saw lots of hookers, one of which asked
Adrian up to her room, which he replied “do you know where the roulette table is?”
Then it was over and we were on a 45 minute ferry journey to
Hong Kong. In which you could hear people throwing up around you, nice.

This is inside!

Hong Kong arrived on the 3rd evening and went to our hotel, which was pretty swank, it was on the Kowloon side and it was on a Hill which was a killer to get up, especially after a very long day of shopping, we were just off Nathan Road which is its famous shopping strip. When we got there we explored for a bit until, dinner time where we met up with Fanna, cousin Anne’s friend, who took us up to the peak, it had the most beautiful view ever, over Hong Kong Island and then over too the mainland, it was magnificent. After that we went to the temple street market, a market that is open every day. It’s an entire street; I bought bags, and some fun clothes. The two streets flanking it, one sells only sports shoes, and the other sells only electronics, amazing! Then I had my first taste of real Hong Kong style tea and it was amazing, after that I ordered it with every meal, in HK they also have this version of French toast which is deep fried, wow!

The next day we took a ferry across to the
Hong Kong Island and met Clara, my god mother whom I have never met. Then Adrian I continued to shop and we went to H&M and some other fun stores. To get from one side to the other you can also use the MTR or MRT and use an oyster card or was it octopus, they had a VERY similar system in Singapore, and I get confused. The next day was Brendan’s 21st birthday and poor fellow he had been sick nearly the whole holiday, so on his 21st birthday he had to give a stool sample, lovely!
Then that night we went to on a ferry ride around the harbour and saw the symphony of lights, I love cities at night, I love the lights against the black background. It was so fun and I love boats. After that we went to dinner at this Italian place near our hotel it was so nice, and the food was bloody good. The next few days passed without much fuss, a lot more shopping and food eating!

Night view from the peak, most awesome view ever!

We came back to Malaysia on the 9th and started are mad packing to get everything to fit, I didn’t have much of a problem but Jane was struggling! The day before we left I went to the central market, and I got my feet eaten by small fish, and then sucked at my bigger fish, one of the weirdest moments in my life and it tickled like hell! And that was the end we left on the 11th in the morning, we had to go for one last breakfast of kon loh mee before we had to go, and it was goodbye Asia, Hello Melbourne! I had a fantastic time and hope I can do it again soon! Defiantly miss the people and the food, but I was glad to be home, and in a house with less then 15 people!

Adrian and I getting our feet eaten by fish.... it tickled!

Haha, I said compressed.
